Possible tornado near Shelburne

Environment Canada says “one or two brief tornados” may have touched down last evening northwest of Toronto.
But the agency will send a team to the Shelburne area today to see if some damage in the area was caused by tornadoes or straight-line winds.
The roof of a barn was ripped off just northwest of the community was thrown about 150 metres and the side of a barn was sheared off just west of Shelburne.
In the Town of East Gwillimbury, meanwhile, police say about 20 hydro poles were knocked down on Woodbine Ave. and the clean-up and repairs will take two or three days.
