Ontario’s largest recycling facility opens in Cambridge

It’s billed as Ontario’s largest state-of-the-art recycling facility and it officially opens today in Cambridge.
The Waste Management of Canada facility, located on Conestoga Boulevard, will handle both industrial and municipal waste, processing up to 550,000 tonnes of
materials every year.
The plant, measuring some 126-thousand square feet, will handle waste from across southwestern Ontario as well as parts of Quebec.
A ceremony marking the grand opening is slated for 11 this morning.
