Daily aspirin intake cuts lung cancer in women, study shows

According to a new study, taking aspirin at least a couple times a week can reduce the risk of lung cancer.

Twelve-hundred Asian women participated in the study, which linked regularly taking aspirin to a 50 per cent reduction of cancer or more, whether or not the person had ever smoked.

However, experts said it’s too early to recommend widespread asprin use for reducing cancer risk.

Aspirin has also been linked to a lower risk of colon, prostate and esophaegeal cancer.

The findings were published in the journal “Lung Cancer.”
