Police make arrest in connection with a break and enter – UPDATE

Three people are now facing charges in connection with a break and enter on Thursday where police say that registered guns were stolen from a home on Dundas Street North in Cambridge.

However Staff Sergeant with South Division Detectives, Dave Mathes says the weapons have not been found.

“There is a risk to public safety, we have a number of weapons out in the community that could pose a threat if they are used in a crime.”

Despite not finding the guns they say they have enough evidence to link those arrested with the crime.

Mathes says that two men and a woman are facing numerous charges including break and enter, theft of a firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of weapons for the purpose of trafficking as well as possession of a controlled substance.

They’re asking anyone with information to call them.
