Occupy Kitchener

Another local event, under the “Occupy” movement umbrella, is taking place today in Kitchener.
It’s a free public forum being staged in the Kitchener City Hall rotunda from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to the group’s Facebook page, they are looking to bring “together people and ideas for a day of information and planning in regards to understanding our current Monetary system and formatting actions towards the development of a Peaceful Monetary System.”
They refer to the current global system as one that generates “needless violence and destruction.”
They say positive dialogue is needed to change that.
