Kuhnhackl out for 20 games

The Ontario Hockey League has levied a 20 game suspension against Niagara IceDogs forward Tom Kuhnhackl for his hit on Kitchener Rangers defenceman Ryan Murphy.
It happened Friday night and it’s still not clear when Murphy will be back in the line up.
Rangers’ head coach Steve Spott tells 570’s Rangers colour man, Mike Farwell, “you simply can’t set a timetable for these injuries” and they continue to work with medical staff.
As for the suspension, Spott says “It’s a severe penalty and we can only hope it sends a message to all players.”
Farwell agrees, saying it was an illegal hit that targetted the head.
Kuhnhackl is not eligible to return until January 6th.
The left winger was just picked up in a trade with the Windsor Spitfires last week.
