Irene could become a Category Four

The first hurricane of the Atlantic season is a big one, and it appears headed for the U-S.

Irene is now a Category Two storm, and has already raked Puerto Rico with strong winds and rain. Forecasters say it could become a monster Category Four storm within 72 hours.

It’s spinning just north of the Dominican Republic on a track that could carry it to the southeastern U-S by the end of the week.
