Still no charges in Stanley Cup riot

The Vancouver police force is under fire for not laying a single charge from the Stanley Cup riot of two months ago.
In Britain, about one-thousand charges have been laid from the London riots, which happened 12 days ago.
Vancouver Police Chief Jim Chu says Canadian laws, courts, and riots are different than in Britain. Chu says it’s neither fair nor accurate to compare how the two police forces are following up on the riots.
Chu says his investigators are being thorough because they want to get it right to ensure convictions.
Although some people have come forward to admit minor roles in the Vancouver riot, Chu says he wants to be sure they didn’t play a bigger role in the mayhem than they claim.
He says rushing these people in court without examining all the evidence would produce weak cases and acquittals.
