Fraud Suspects Images Released

Waterloo Regional Police Services have released images of five people suspected in fraud cases.

Spokesperson Olaf Heinzel tells 570 News the incidents involve the establishment of fraudulent bank accounts and then money is withdrawn, “currently South Division Detectives are investigating several incidents in the Cambridge area in which fraudulent bank accounts were opened in May of this year and then money withdrawn. Our investigation has now indicated to us that there have been similar incidents in other communities in Southern Ontario as well”.

Five people have been captured in the images released. Some of the individuals appear several times. Police ask that anyone who may recognize any one of the men to call Waterloo Regional Police South Division Detectives 519 650 8500 ext. 2234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
