Galt Main Street Re-opens

It’s a big day in Galt on two fronts.
Today marks the official re-opening of a section of Main Street.
It’s been closed as it underwent a major makeover.
To mark the occassion, municipal and business leaders as well as just residents will gather for a ceremony at 11:30 at Main and Water Streets.
There will be some entertainment as well.
The city spent close to $1,000,000 on the project which included the widening of sidewalks, a resurfacing of the roadway, upgrading the underground infrastructure and streetscaping.
Also taking place today: Galt Grand Fest celebrations which includes a day full of entertainment.
