A huge success for the K-W Relay for Life
The Record reports that the annual event raised $216,000 this year — surpassing their goal of 164-thousand.
Almost 800 participants gathered at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School in Kitchener from 7pm Friday to 7am Saturday to take part.
The 24-hour event saw thousands turn out, to show their support by carrying signs of hope and encouragement.
All money raised goes to the Canadian Cancer Society.
