After a four month investigation, Regional Police have seized over 6.6 million dollars of marijuana from properties in Kitchener and Cambridge.
Police seized over 270 pounds of packaged marijuana, 480 grams of cannabis resin and over 6-thousand marijuana plants.
They used eight search warrants in two days. They entered buildings in Kitchener on Shoemaker Street and Knox Court, and a residence, storage centres and a barn all in Cambridge.
Inspector Greg Lamport tells 570 News, the major amount of the seizure was done on June 2nd while the remaining warrant was done on June 3rd. He says it’s one of the largest ones they’ve been involved in when it’s all added up.
On top of the Marijuana, they also seized over 30-thousand dollars worth of cash, 50-thousand in equipment, multiple vehicles, numerous guns and a para-glider.
The suspects, George Gobran, Kenneth Meaney and Martin Hackborn have been arrested, charged and
made their first appearance in court today.
