Over 63 patients have used the Telemedicine Respirology Clinic since it’s inception in 2010.

The technology allows virtual two-way communication between respirologists at St. Mary’s Hospital and patients of Family Health Teams in outlying areas.

Program Director for Cardiac and Chest programs at St. Mary’s, Kim Siegel says it’s a huge benefit to patients, as they don’t have to travel as far to get a consultation or assessment.

The clinic began with patients in Mount Forest and Fergus, but has now expanded to include Drayton and Stratford.
