Target in Waterloo Region

U-S retailer Target has announced the locations for some of its Canadian stores and three of them are in this area.
It was back in January that Target announced it would buying up 220 leaseholds from Zellers and today it announced that the locations in Conestoga Mall, the Cambridge Centre and Guelph’s Stone Road Mall are among those.
The company says the Target stores will begin opening in 2013. The Zellers will continue to operate until renovations begin. Target plans to spend about $10 million on each site.
It says it will be hiring 150 to 200 staff members for each store beginning next year and the current Zellers staff will have to apply if they want a position.
