Get a shot, get to class

The parents of hundreds of elementary students across the Region have likely been scrambling this week to update their childrens’ immunization records.

On Tuesday, Public Health enforced a deadline and suspended close to 500 students whose records were incomplete.  

This morning’s Record reports the health department believes most have now complied with the regulations and should be back in school today.

Parents were warned back in April when letters were send home notifying them of the deadline and another letter were fired off last week as a reminder of Tuesday’s deadline to update the records.
