25th Torch Run time!

Today marks the 25th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run in Waterloo Region.
It teams up members of Regional Police and local Special Olympians.
Over the past 25 years, the local run has raised over $260,000 for Special Olympics.
There are three separate runs, beginning later this morning at staggered times in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.
The runs will converge at police headquarters on Maple Grove Road with the arrival of the “Flame of Hope” torch at around noon.
A heads up for motorists as police say you may experience very brief delays as police escort the participants through major intersections.
