Up to 11 missing after a Woodstock apartment building explosion

Part of a three-story apartment building in Woodstock has collapsed after an explosion there Sunday morning.
As many as 11 people are missing. Seven people, including a firefighter, were injured. One person has serious injuries.
Ontario fire marshalls have been called to the scene.
Woodstock emergency crews first caught wind of the explosion after a police officer noticed smoke coming from an apartment building around 8:30 Sunday morning, and residents quickly leaving the apartment, says Woodstock Police Const. Steven McEwen.
Residents have been evacuated and are being assisted by the Red Cross at a nearby community centre.
The cause of the explosion and the total cost of damages is not yet known. The area will be closed off until the investigation is complete.
