Limiting internet time for teens

A Guelph company is helping parents out when it comes to how much time their kids spend surfing the net.

James Alexander, the founder of Mediavention tells 570 news “Groundhog” is an application that limits the time teens spend on the internet.

Alexander says with the advent of things like 3-D lap tops, the internet experience is becoming more subversive. So, controls like “Groundhog” are becoming essential.

He says the inspiration for the application was his own children, and unlike other applications which tend to be business oriented, he made “Groundhog” family friendly and easy for parents to use.
