Tim Hudak in town today

It’s day two of some heavy political activity here in Waterloo Region.
Today, the leader of the provincial conservatives will be in town to take a jab at the liberals over what Tim Hudak calls skyrocketing hydro rates.
Minister of Health and Long Term Care Deb Matthews will also be in town for an announcement at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
The visits follow an election-themed speech from the Premier at Bingemans in Kitchener yesterday.
The Premier used his visit to tout his government’s plan to strengthen Ontario’s economy.
Speaking to a crowd of more than 200 local business and municipal leaders during a luncheon at Bingemans, Dalton McGuinty said we are in a stronger position than most, but he says challenges lie ahead.
McGuinty says his government’s plan is to help Ontarians take advantage of opportunities in the global economy, by building a competitive workforce and giving kids the best education possible.
McGuinty also boasted about headway the province is making in the health sector and he also defended the HST, saying it is good for growth because it creates more jobs.
McGuinty says his government has a plan to help build an innovative economy, through incentives for businesses and investments in digital media and manufacturing.
