Strike deadline extended

Both sides in the contract dispute at Guelph Independent Living have agreed to extend a strike deadline by 60 days to January 13th.
The extension came only hours before OP-SEU Local 203 would have been in a legal position to walk off the job.
The union represents more than 75 staff at the facility.
Staff at Guelph Independent Living work with people with physical disabilities and the elderly.
