Outwater to stay

The K-W Symphony apparently likes the job music director Edwin Outwater is doing.

It really, really likes it.

In fact, it officially announced this morning it has extended his contract to 2015.

Outwater has been the music director since 2007 and in a release issued this morning, the Symphony says since his arrival, “Outwater has revitalized the orchestra and gained international attention for his brilliant performances and innovative projects.”

The symphony reportedly did not want to risk losing Outwater, whose current contract expires this coming spring.
