There will be lineups today at lottery ticket sellers with the Lotto Max jackpot standing at about $40 million for tonight’s draw.
And it’s the fourth time since the game was launched in September 2009 that it has hit $40 million.
Cameron Blair, a laid-off welder from Alberta, won $41.7 million in April — the second largest lottery jackpot ever won by an individual in Canada.
In February, two tickets split a $50 million Lotto Max draw — one in Quebec and the other in British Columbia.
And last November, Marie Fontaine of Pine Falls, Manitoba pocketed a $50-million Lotto Max prize.
Tickets can be bought until 9 p.m. Eastern time.
