Crash involving ambulance

A local paramedic was taken to hospital after a collision last night involving an ambulance and a car in Waterloo.

Police say the paramedic – a 28-year-old Cambridge man – suffered minor injuries.

Police say the ambulance was responding to an emergency call with its lights and siren activated when the collision occurred.

The crash happened just before 10 o’clock at Moore Avenue and Union Street closing the intersection for two hours.

Police say no charges will be laid.
