Turn off the lights tonight for Earth Hour

Another year, another hour to show the world you care.
Earth Hour is on today, with hundreds of cities across the globe set to cut the power for 60 minutes to save energy and promote environmental awareness.
People around the world are encouraged to turn off their lights from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time.
Over 280 cities in Canada will be taking part in Earth Hour, the most of any country in the world.
This weeks 570 News Insider Survey was about Earth Hour.
75 per cent of you plan to take part in the event.
53 per cent of you plan to turn off the lights, while 22 per cent say you’ll take it a step further and turn off all non-essential appliances, like TV’s and computers.
67 per cent feel Global Warming is a real threat and 74 per cent say Earth Hour is a great way to promote the importance of energy conservation.
63 per cent of you feel Earth Hour results in a significant power reduction worldwide and 68 per cent would also like to see the initiative expanded beyond just one hour.
96 per cent of you say you make an effort to conserve energy on a day-to-day basis.
68 per cent of you feel that government and business should take the lead when it comes to conserving energy and participating in calls to action like Earth Hour.
You can do your part by shutting off everything from computers to your TV’s and lights for the entire hour.
