Human remains identified as those of a missing local man

The mother of a local man whose remains were identified 10 years after he went missing says the discovery gives her closure.
32 year old Patrick Soikie was travelling through Sudbury on his way to Western Canada in 2000 to find work when he disappeared.
His mother Madeline tells 570 News she received a call about the finding in December, but did not get confirmation until a few days ago.
Police say they are not treating his death as suspicious.
Madeline is remembering Patrick as a caring man who was always happy.
She says she will bury her son in April.
