More trouble for Toyota

The world’s largest automaker, which has already been mired in a recall of 7-million vehicles because of faulty accelerators and floor mats, has now issued another recall.
Toyota says it is recalling about 437,000 Prius and other hybrid cars worldwide to fix brake problems.
Company President Akio Toyoda made the recall announcement today at a press conference in Tokyo.
He told reporters, “We have decided to recall as we regard safety for our customers as our foremost priority.”
The recall will include the Prius and two other hybrids — the Lexus H-S-250-h sedan and the Sai, the latter of which is sold only in Japan.
The latest recall follows 200 complaints in Japan and the U.S. about a delay when the brakes in the Prius were pressed in cold conditions and on bumpy roads.
