Apple says it will be more intimate than a laptop.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has introduced the iPad, a
tablet-style computer.
Jobs made the announcement at an invitation only event in San Francisco.
Analysts say a tablet-style computer can help people watch videos, surf the Web, play games and read electronic books.
Tablet-style computers have had little success in the past decade.
Yahoo High Tech Analyst Ted Kritsonis tells 570’s Gary Doyle Show the iPad was presented as something that’s more than just a toy.
Kritsonis says there are reports the cost of the device will start at 499 dollars U-S.
No deals have been reached with data carriers in Canada yet.
