MCC opens relief drop off centre

The main Haitian relief drop off centre for the Mennonite Central Committee has opened in Kitchener.

The MCC wants to put together 20 thousand relief kits.

Donations can be dropped off at 50 Ottawa Street, which is located near Charles.

That is where MCC volunteers will sort and pack the relief kits.

The centre will be open from 10-am until 9-pm all this week.

Here are the items that are needed:

-bath soap

-shampoo in a re-sealable bag

-bars of laundry soap

-bath towels

-toothpaste and toothbrushes
