Chapman’s Ice Cream in Markdale is hiring.
The company is increasing production as it works toward opening its new plant in the spring.
Owner Penny Chapman says she and her husband expect to hire roughly another 50 employees bringing their total work force to just over 350 employees.
With the busy summer season ahead, Chapman says they need to train workers for more production at their plant.
The company now operates three lines in a plant purchased after fire destroyed its production facility last September.
