Parts of the Maritimes Lose Power

Utility crews across the Maritimes are busy after a fierce storm cut power to tens of thousands of customers.

At its worst, almost 45-thousand homes and businesses were in the dark. As of early this morning, the number of customers with no power in New Brunswick had been trimmed to about 96-hundred.

The storm forced airlines to cancel 10 flights at Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

The Maritimes were hit with up to 30-centimetres of heavy, wet snow.
