The Regions first baby of 2010

The first local baby of 2010 was born at Grand River hospital in Kitchener overnight.

Alina Cosarba came into this world at five pounds, one ounce at 1:06 this morning.

Her mother Sanda says she feels like a hero.

Cosarba already has three kids at home, two boys and a girl.

She turns 41 this month.
