Bad timing for BlackBerry outages

Analysts say the outages that have plagued BlackBerry users couldn’t have come at a worse time for Research in Motion.
One of Canada’s leading technology analysts says this kind of service outage is not the sort of thing RIM wants as it heads into a period of intensified competition. Carmi Levy says the more these kind of technical problems occur, the more of a black mark there is on RIM’s record of reliability. Another analyst says anything that erodes the issue of reliability and reduces the perceived competitive advantage for RIM. Blackberry’s outage yesterday was the second in the past week.
