GRT likely to announce stops in 2010

Looks like Grand River Transit may have to start announcing stops in 2010.

Regional council is now considering hiking taxes $200,000 in the new year.

It is looking at an automated system to announced stops.

Regional Chair Ken Seiling tells The Record they don’t have a choice and all passengers will benefit.

Three other transit services were recently taken to a human rights tribunal for not acting quick enough to assist the visually impaired.
