Big boost for Santa’s Anonymous

A big thanks going out from all of us here at the station as a huge donation comes in to the 570 News Santa’s Anonymous campaign.
Almost $12,000 worth of toys were donated today from FirstOnSite Restorations, and Razors Logistics, all destined to help families in need through the Salvation Army.
Major Rick Sheasby with the Salvation Army says they’re seeing a 10 to 12-per cent increase of families in need this year, and the three tractor-trailer loads of toys will go a long way.
Larry Kelly, owner of Razor Logistics trucking company, brings in the toys, then anyone can buy the toys at a not-for-profit rate and donate them.
FirstOnSite stores and sells the toys to donors through their offices at 235 Ardelt Avenue in Kitchener.
Kelly thanks Forbes Toyota and Gullivers Travels for their participation in this year’s toy drive.
