Police shutdown illegal cannabis shop in Cambridge

By Blair Adams

Three people are facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police and Waterloo Regional Police executed a search warrant at an alleged illegal cannabis storefront in Cambridge.

On Wednesday May 29, police said they seized cannabis, rolled cannabis cigarettes, as well as weapons and cash.

Two Cambridge residents – 21-year-old Justine Ann-Marie Mancebo and 44-year-old Pritzila Noeggerath face charges including possessing cannabis for the purpose of distribution and selling, contrary to the Cannabis Act and proceeds of crime under $5,000.

50-year-old George Pearce of Hamilton has also been charged.

All have been released and will appear in court at a later date.

OPP say they're continuing to lead an enforcement strategy, along with other police services in the province, to take action against illegal cannabis operations.

Anyone with information regarding such operations are asked to call provincial police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police service.
