Police looking for person of interest in Waterloo robbery

Waterloo Regional Police are looking to speak with the individual pictured here.

It's in connection with a robbery that occurred at a business in Uptown Waterloo on December 30. The business is located in the area of King Street South and William Street.

Police allege a suspect concealed merchandise and attempted to flee the store when he was intercepted by store security.

The security guard was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was described as a white male, between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5'9″ tall, with a thin build, short hair, and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a navy blue jacket underneath, dark blue jeans, white and grey shoes, black and red Canada ball cap with white writing, sunglasses, and a blue COVID mask.
