Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in Kitchener crash

A 30-year-old Kitchener man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision in Kitchener.

It happened in the area of Bleams Road and Manitou Drive, around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, the man, who was a pedestrian, was struck by a minivan as the vehicle exited the intersection.

The man was airlifted to hospital.

A 42-year-old Kitchener woman, the alleged driver of the minivan, was not injured.

Roads in the area were closed several hours for the investigation.
