The Uptown Night Market is set to make a triumphant return this week.
The weekly market will be held Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
It will run July 7 until August 25, although each event is weather dependent.
This year, the night market will be happening in the upper parking lot for the Waterloo Public Library on Albert Street.
Tracey Van Kalsbeek is executive director of the Uptown Waterloo Business Improvement Area and said there will be 26 different vendors and businesses featured every week.
“We'll have a range of local artisans, food, retail items, vintage clothing, housewares and more,” said Van Kalsbeek in a release.
She noted the 2022 Uptown Night Market will include live music and entertainment as well.
“Last year our market brought close to 5,000 visitors to Uptown. With our increased number of vendors, live music and entertainment, we hope to double that figure this year! “

If you're looking for a patio to visit while you're Uptown, there's 49 available.
“We have also worked with businesses, the city and the region to close down Dominion Lane for patios — and also Princess Street, where we've created a really cool new space called The Slats,” Van Kalsbeek told CityNews. “It's a public space that anyone can use, it's got really neat artsy seating.”
She added the popular FUSE lights have been moved and can now be found at the Carnegie Library.
