Three local MPPs named parliamentary assistants

Premier Doug Ford has unveiled the team of parliamentary assistants that will support his new cabinet. Three MPPs from Waterloo Region were named parliamentary assistants on Wednesday.

Kitchener-Conestoga's Mike Harris becomes the parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Legislative Affairs.

Newly elected Cambridge MPP Brian Riddell becomes parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery.

Jess Dixon, who now represents Kitchener South-Hespeler, is parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Energy.

The provincial government says parliamentary assistants support ministers with legislative and committee matters, as well as communicating government initiatives across Ontario.
