A power outage in Kitchener impacted almost 1,400 customers on Wednesday afternoon.

The affected area covered parts of Victoria, Krug, Frederick and Lancaster Street.

Power was restored to customers shortly after 4 p.m.

The outage prompted the Kitchener Public Library to close all of its locations Wednesday, and the Centre in the Square closed its box office until Thursday at 10 a.m.
