The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth will be one of eight organizations to receive funding from the PEDIGREE Foundation. PEDIGREE is launching the Canadian grant program in an effort to end pet homelessness.

The inaugural recipients were chosen based on their support for programs that help find dogs loving homes.

In total, the foundation will award $100,000 in 2022 grants.

“We are incredibly thankful to the PEDIGREE Foundation for their generous support,” Kathrin Delutis, chief executive officer, The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth said in a news release. “This grant will greatly impact the lifesaving efforts of our transfer program, allowing more dogs to find loving homes within our communities.”

The PEDIGREE Foundation is supported through Mars Petcare.
