Outdoor skating rink in Uptown Waterloo closes

By Erin Anderson

The outdoor rink in Uptown Waterloo had its last hurrah of the season this week.

It was closed on Tuesday due to warmer temperatures and the imminent arrival of spring.

The outdoor skating rink on King Street in downtown Kitchener did not open this year due to ongoing construction at Carl Zehr Square.

A number of other outdoor rinks operated in the city, but each is dependent on weather, and COVID-19 protocols are in place.
