Man facing charges after threatening, spitting on LCBO employees: WRPS

A 49-year-old man is facing charges after an altercation that began at a local LCBO store.

Officers were called to the store on King St. West in Kitchener around 6:30 yesterday evening after an intoxicated man reportedly wanted to fight someone.

The man was also reportedly spitting on employees and threatening them with a bottle.

When police arrived the man resisted arrest and tried to flee from the store.

After being arrested, he reportedly tried to kick out the back window of the police cruiser, and was restrained further.

He also allegedly tried to bite another officers face.

The man faces a number of charges including assault with a weapon, assault of a police officer and public intoxication.
