Damage pegged at over $400,000 following fire near Wellesley (update)

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The Township of Wellesley says all three fire stations were called Friday afternoon to a fully involved house fire.

The fire is now under control.

It's just outside the actual village.

Fire crews say the family, of parents and four kids, were out running errands at the time of the fire and no one has been reported injured.

Early damage estimates from officials are between $400-500,000.

“The house is a complete write-off,” says Wellesley Fire Chief Paul Redman.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area of Greenwood Hill and Weimer Line.
