CMH’s COVID assessment centre will be closed this weekend

Cambridge Memorial Hospital's COVID assessment centre at 215 Holiday Inn Drive will be closed Saturday and Sunday.

In a news release, the hospital said staff from the centre are being temporarily reassigned to the hospital to lessen the impact of on-going staffing shortages.  

As of Thursday, CMH had over 40 staff off due to COVID infection or symptoms/exposure, with that number expected to rise.

For this weekend, the hospital suggests anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, to visit the Region of Waterloo's website to see if they are eligible for testing and to book an appointment at an alternate assessment site.
