Smith inquest expected to wrap up Thursday

The jury in the Ashley Smith inquest is expected to deliver its verdict sometime on Thursday morning.

The 19 year old New Brunswick teen choked herself to death in her cell in October of 2007 at Kitchener’s Grand Valley Institution for Women.

The inquest began in January.

The Smith case will be up for discussion on 570’s Gary Doyle Show this morning.
Scheduled guests include Diana Zlomislic with the Toronto Star. She has been covering the case from the start and has written a new e-book titled “The Life and Death of Ashley Smith”.

We will also hear from Allison Thornton, a lawyer who appeared at the inquest on behalf of the Civil Liberties Association of Canada.
