The Little KW Flamenco Fest is set to get underway at the Waterloo Public Square, with performances beginning at 7 p.m.
This free event will allow residents to listen to and watch various Flamenco dances and songs.
Flamenco Fest will have a variety of different vendors, including food and beverage trucks, artisan vendors, indigenous artwork, and glitter tattoos.
This isn’t the first time the event has come to Waterloo Region, with its first appearance being in 2018.
Flamenco Fest has revealed its list of scheduled performers: Fernando Gallego “El Bancalero” (Cante), David Sinclair (Guitar), Joaquin Nuñez Hidalgo (Percussion), and Makeda Benítez (Baile). They will perform along wil resident performers Juneyt, Claudia, and Julian. During intermission, there will be a performance by CaluJules’ Students.
In a release, Flamenco recommends that you consider bringing a lawn chair if you have one. Once again, we aim to make the evening in the spirit of a true Spanish fair, with atmosphere, food, drink and music.
In case of rain or bad weather, the event will move to the 5th Uptown Parkade.
