Western Conference leading Rangers host struggling Steelheads

The Kitchener Rangers are set for two important games at The Aud this weekend, starting with a test against Brampton on Friday.

The Steelheads enter Friday’s contest riding a nine-game losing streak and have failed to find a win for the entirety of February.

The Rangers, on the other hand, are riding a three-game win streak and are coming off a close-fought 5-4 win over the Guelph Storm on Wednesday.

Kitchener sits atop the Western Conference with only 10 games left in the regular season, and currently has a four-point lead over the second-place Flint Firebirds.

Rangers forward Christian Humphreys is currently sitting in fourth in scoring in the OHL with 78 points, only four behind Saginaw’s Nikita Klepov, and has more assists than any other skater in the league.

On Sunday, the Rangers will play host to the London Knights.
