Serious rollover crash in Wellesley sends driver, passenger to hospital

A driver and their passenger were both hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Wellesley.

Emergency services responded to the collision on Hessen Strasse Road on Wednesday morning, shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Police said the involved vehicle was a Dodge Caliber and the driver, a 19-year-old woman from Cambridge, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Her passenger, a 16-year-old male from Milverton, was transported to an out-of-region hospital. His injuries are described as being serious but non-life-threatening.

Waterloo regional police continue to investigate the crash and say charges are anticipated.

Anyone with information on the collision, including witnesses with dash cam video, are asked to contact police at 519-570-9777 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
