‘Active incident’ investigation concluded in Erin: OPP

Officers with Wellington County OPP say they’ve concluded their investigation – after earlier reports of a sizable police presence in the Town of Erin.

According to provincial police, it was around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday when they were called to a home on Trafalgar Road, south of Wellington Road 22.

Police have since indicated that call was for a person in distress at the Erin Township home, prompting a response from emergency services.

Providing an update later on Thursday morning, OPP said their investigation had concluded, with the police presence cleared out.

There’s no word on whether any injuries were reported, or if any charges have been laid.

Wellington County OPP have since thanked the public for their “patience and cooperation.”
